William E. Wensel, formerly of West Mifflin, died on September 14, 2016 at his home on Lucky Shot Lane, Forest County after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 68 years of age. Born on February 26, 1948, in Homestead, PA, he was the son of the late George and Stella (Fagan) Wensel. He was a former member of the United States Navy and retired to Forest County after a career as an administrator with Duquesne Light. In his retirement, he was a member of the Sigel Sportsman's Club, the Marienville Rod and Gun Club, and the Sportsman's Club of Forest County. Mr. Wensel is survived by his son, Brian Wensel and wife Heather of Purcellville, VA; his daughter Lisa Brugos and husband Dan of West Mifflin, PA; his sister Regina Sherlock of Munhall, PA; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wensel was preceded in death by his brother, George Wensel; and his sister JoAnn Anthony. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation and services will be private.
