Terri Lynn
Etzel Moore
Sep 19, 1966 — Jan 15, 2025
Terri Lynn Etzel Moore, 58, of Pittsburgh, PA (formerly of Clarion, PA) passed away of natural causes at her home in Pittsburgh in the early morning hours on January 15, 2025.
Born on Sept 19, 1966 in Clarion, PA Terri was the beloved first born daughter of Carol (Reed) and Robert Etzel.
Terri graduated from Clarion Area High School in 1984. Terri was a very strong lady who survived a horrific, tragic car accident in her senior year of high school. She struggled with lifelong injuries sustained from that accident.
Following her high school graduation Terri attended DuBois Business College, earning an Associate's Degree. She worked for a local attorney for a few years then went on to become a Correction's Office at the Clarion County Jail until she had to go on disability as a result from her injuries received from the vehicle accident. She went on to work several different part time jobs due to her disability.
Terri was an avid pet lover, wanting to adopt every animal she saw. She was also a true Pittsburgh fan, always cheering on her beloved Steelers. Terri enjoyed crafting, at one time selling her designs on an online platform. In her earlier years she enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband and cooking the wild game they would harvest. Terri was an excellent cook who also enjoyed canning her food(s). Prior to moving out of Clarion, Terri enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving meals for her family in her home.
Terri always believed in second chances, mainly because she always craved another chance for herself. She loved her family deeply. She was a loyal person, was not afraid to love, laughed easily, yet was a bit hard headed.
Terri married Daniel Moore on February 3, 2000 until his death on October 21, 2008.
Terri is survived by her sisters; Cindy Etzel Siebka of Clarion and Kathi Etzel (Mike) Drozdo of Missouri. She is also survived by her nephew Robert Siebka, niece Jocelyn Siebka and her grand-niece Ellie Grace; as well as several cousins and her most recent pet, Muffin, which she was thrilled to get in October 2024.
She is joined in heaven by her parents; Father, Robert Lee Etzel and Mother, Carol Yvonne (Reed) Etzel. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Moore as well as her Grandparents; Albert L. "Bunny" Etzel, Sara Pearl (Williams) Etzel, Hiram Eugene "Boney" Reed, and Twila Reed and many Aunts and Uncles.
There will be no public services, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home in Clarion.
If anyone wishes to make a donation in her honor please consider donating to a women's shelter, any domestic violence Safe Havens, a local animal shelter or charity of one's choice.
Terri strongly believed in this quote, "Just a simple reminder to stay on track and keep pushing forward. Stay focused. No matter what kind of rough spot you're in mentally, physically or emotionally, it's all temporary". You do not have to put up with toxic people in your life, reach out and take the help that is offered!
Remember, physical and emotional abuse can and does lead to long term mental health struggles as well as a complete lack of self-dignity.
Just be good to one another and if you can give anything give love and kindness.
Dear Sis, I will love you forever. May you finally have found the peace you always longed for in this life on earth. No one can hurt you anymore, there is no more pain.
