Shevy Lynn McGiffin of Clarion, passed away of an accidental drowning on September 9, 2016. She was 13 years old.
Born on September 5, 2003, Shevy was the daughter of Tina Jean Mc Giffin and Andrew Schneider. She was a seventh grade student at the Clarion-Limestone Junior-Senior High School.
Shevy was a creative, loving girl who could find good in anybody. She enjoyed art and origami; making crafts and designing accessories for her American Girl dolls. Shevy loved working in her garden with Po. She liked cucumber and tomato sandwiches, anything with fruit in it and making arrangements with flowers, especially black-eyed-susans. Shevy wanted to be an artist, working for Disney, or to be an architect.
Shevy is survived by her parents, Andrew and Tina; her brothers, Donovan McGiffin and Colton Schneider; her step-sister, Jasmine Rose Randall; her paternal grandmother, Nancy Schneider; her maternal grandparents, James,Sr. and Connietta McGiffin; a nephew, Tony Roush; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Robert Schneider, Sr.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion. Shevy's family will receive visitors from 9 - 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, in the chapel at the First Presbyterian Church, 700 Wood Street, Clarion. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church with Pastor Alan Adams, Abundant Life Fellowship, and Dr. Jonathan Scanlon, First Presbyterian Church, presiding.
