Ruth Ann Deemer, of Strattanville, peacefully passed away at home on Monday, December 10, 2018, surrounded by her family following an extended illness. She was 76 years of age.
Born on December 20, 1941, in Clarion, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence L. and Eleanor L. (Bickel) Kahle. On August 27, 1961, she married Dallas E. Deemer who preceded her in death in 1980.
She is survived by her children, son Robert L. Deemer and wife Lisa of Strattanville, and their children, Randon, Jeremy and Stacy; daughter Donna D. Wensel and husband David of Sligo, and their children, Mike, Matthew, David, Laura, and Eric, and grand-children, Kassie, Kirstie, Braxton, Kayden, Lyric, Makenna, Harper; daughter Tammy R. Blake and husband Gary of Strattanville and their children Andrew and Tyler; and son Timothy E. Deemer and Paula Beers of Strattanville, and his daughter Rachel and friend Matt Best. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rose Kahle of Curllsville.
Ruth enjoyed playing bingo, watching Jeopardy, crochet, reading, cooking and baking, and taking time to be with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and an infant son, William Dallas, and her siblings, Emma Kahle Land, Lawrence Kahle, Jr., Charles Kahle, Donald Kahle, and Doris Confer.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Friday. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Colin Koch of New Hope Church officiating. Interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park.
