Roger C. McHenry 89, of Fisher Road, Strattanville, died March 6, 2025.
Born in Strattanville Borough on March 30, 1935, he was the son of the late Carl and Hazel (Moody) McHenry.
On March 9, 1959 Roger married Wilma (Burns) McHenry in Winchester, Virginia. Wilma preceded him in death on December 24, 2021.
He is survived by four children, Patricia Black, Robert McHenry, Michael McHenry and Jeffrey (Kim) McHenry; grandchildren, Michael (Haylee) Black, Andrew Black, Alicia (Zack) Myers, Tara (Austin) Erskine and Alexa (Jake McMillen) McHenry; great-grandchildren, Parker Black, Ella Black, Carsyn Black, Easton Myers, Kye Erskine and Kohen Erskine; sister-in-law Lynda McHenry; son-in-law Larry Black and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brother David McHenry; brother-in-law Robert Dixon Burns, brother-in-law George Ramandanes, sister-in-law Gloria Burns and sister-in-law Betty Lou (Burns) Ramandanes.
Roger was a 1953 graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School.
He was employed by A&P Super Markets for 16 years and then by Gallagher Drugs, retiring from the CVS drug store chain after 31 years of service in the drug store.
The family would like to thank the nurses from Clarion Forest VNA and suggests memorial contributions be made to them or to Gideons International, Clarion Camp which will be used for the distribution of Bibles.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion www.goblefh.net . In accordance with Roger's wishes, there will be no visitation.
