Robert James "Bob" Maxwell, age 67, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at home.
Bob was born on July 30, 1951 in Clarion, to Robert Ralph and Florence (Miller) Maxwell. He graduated from Clarion Area High School in 1969 and then attended trade school. In 1973 he married Teresa E. Thompson. She preceded him in death in 1997.
Bob and Teresa raised two sons who survive, Ryan Maxwell of Clarion, and Andy Maxwell and wife Kathy, along with their son Jack, of Lucinda.
In addition, Bob is survived by his sisters Nancy Kaglick and husband Joseph, of Houston, Texas, and Peggy Campbell and husband Bruce, of North East, Pennsylvania; and his brother Bill Maxwell and wife Denise, of Knox.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
He was the owner of Maxwell Heating Sheet Metal and Refrigeration until his retirement. After retiring, he enjoyed consulting on various construction and HVAC projects, and working in his shop building wood projects. His specialty was cutting boards made with multiple species of wood. He enjoyed spending time at is camp at Kibbe's Island in Tionesta.
He was formerly active in the Greater Clarion Chamber of Commerce as well as the Farmington Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Boyd Edmondson officiating. Interment will be in the Miola Cemetery.
