Robert Vane Bowman, 86, born September 21, 1939, in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, departed this life on June 6, 2026, in Butler, Pennsylvania, at the age of 86. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication.

Robert served his country honorably as a Technical Sergeant (TSgt E6) in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. His commitment to service and country was a testament to his character and strength.

Following his military service, Robert pursued a career as an HVAC technician with Ripco in Rimersburg, PA, where he demonstrated professionalism and skill until his retirement. He was known for his keen intellect and ability to solve complex problems, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends.

A man of many talents and interests, Robert found great joy in woodworking, hunting, gardening, and working as a mechanic. His hands were never idle, and he took great pride in crafting and creating with meticulous care and attention to detail.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters. His memory will be cherished by his beloved wife, Bonnie Bowman of Strattanville; his children, Robert V. Bowman Jr. (Stephanie) of Michigan, Melinda Kay Keppler (Kenneth) of Cranberry Township, PA, and Douglas Bowman (Amy) of Washington, PA. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy and Helen, his grandchildren Billi J., Robert T., Meghan C., Erin B., Aidan C., and his great-grandson, Elijah Bowman.

Services to honor Robert's life will be announced and held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, where he will be laid to rest with military honors befitting his service and dedication to the nation.

Robert's steadfast love for his family, his unwavering dedication to his work, and his boundless enthusiasm for his hobbies will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched throughout his rich and rewarding life.
