Richard "Rick" Ray Smith of Vowinckel, age 53, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.  He was born February 18, 1966 in Clarion, son of Eugene and Lucille Smith.  Rick was a beloved father to his three sons.  Rick graduated from Clarion High School, DeVry University, and has been an employee at the United States Post Office for the past 30 years.  Rick was an avid Steelers fan and loved to attend his sons sporting events.  Rick was also his sons Little League coach.  He was a member of the Manor United Methodist Church.  He is survived by his three sons, Austin, Andy, and Anthony, of Marienville, PA; a brother, Eugene "Butch" Smith and wife Lori, of Clarion, PA; two sisters, Linda Clark and husband Bill, and Delene Siegel; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ron Siegel.  Funeral services will take place at the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion with visitation on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and the service taking place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, funeral cost donations may be made on the funeral home website www.goblefh.net or to the Marienville Fire Department, PO Box 446, Marienville, PA 16239.
