Obituary

Rebecca Lee Tracy passed away peacefully at her home in Clarion, PA, on June 15, 2025, with her family nearby. A cherished daughter, devoted mother, steadfast wife, and beloved friend, she lived a full life marked by purpose and love.

She was born on July 13, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA, graduated from Penn Hall Academy in 1968, and went on to visit all 50 states. A lover of dogs and horses, she found joy and comfort in the presence of animals. She had a lifelong affection for Motown music; it never failed to lift her spirits. Whether nurturing her son, adventuring with her husband, or playing a friendly game of bingo with friends, she brought loyalty, curiosity, and humor wherever she went.

Her journey through life took her to Homestead, Monroeville, and Meadville, PA; Stryker, OH; and Livingston, TX. In time, she returned to Pennsylvania, settling in Clarion near her parents.

She is survived by her son, David Mendlowitz of Cloverdale, CA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Clowney of Fisher, PA, and her husband, Donald Tracy of Liberty Center, OH.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her laughter and admired the strength with which she moved through life.

Interment is planned at Millcreek Presbyterian Cemetery in Fisher, PA. There is no planned visitation. A private service in her honor will be held at a later date.
