Randon "Randy" Cable went to be with his holy father on August 25, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with kidney disease.
He was born in Brookville on July 27, 1952 to Richard A. and June Fuller Cable. He was named after the physician that assisted with his birth, Dr. Randon McKinley.
Randy was a 1971 graduate of Brookville High School and later attended Clarion University with a focus on computer science. His early career was in the insurance business. He worked at Metropolitan Life and at RJ Smathers Insurance, later starting his own business known as the Insurance Store.
His interest then turned to computer sales and service and he opened a business called Computer Resources.
Known for his sassy attitude, Randy was a man who stood on principle.
In 1976 he married Robin Primas and they celebrated their 50th anniversary in March of this year.
Randy enjoyed his membership and friendships developed while in the Clarion Jaycees. He served as local president and also as a vice president on the state level. He was an active member of Clarion First Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder, a member of the property committee and on the pastor nominating committee.
Randy was a DIY person who enjoyed home projects, church projects and gardening when he was able. He enjoyed watching Steelers games and Sci-fi movies.
He is survived by his loving wife Robin, a sister Marsha Siple of Brookville, brother-in-law Tedd Primas of Tinley Park, Illinois, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, his sisters Carol Shultz, and Leona Kinchloe, brother Richard Cable, and in-laws Wilson and Jacqueline Primas, and sister-in-law, Toni.
Thank you to the staff at Dialysis Clinic Inc., Clarion Dialysis Center, and Shippenville Healthcare and Rehab for caregiving during his journey.
Memorial donations may be made to Clarion First Presbyterian Church or Clarion PAWS.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Emerickville Church of God cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St, Clarion.
