Obituary

Patti Lee Potter Hook, 65, of Clarion PA was received into the arms of her Heavenly Father, surrounded by family, on Dec 5 2024, following a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Born on Sept 20, 1959 in Brookville PA, Patti was the beloved daughter of Kathryn (Kunselman) and Glenn Potter Jr. And the cherished mother of Shawna (Montag) Feliciano and Matthew Montag.

Patti graduated from Union High School in 1977, where she was prom queen and a friend to many. She then attended Zion Bible Institute in Providence RI. Patti served faithfully as a Pastor's wife, Sunday school teacher, women's ministries director, among many other things over the course of 2 decades in ministry. The many talents and skills she possessed were then utilized in her role as General Manager at two different hotels over the course of a decade. Patti retired to become a caregiver for her husband and faithfully cared for him until her Parkinson's diagnosis no longer allowed her to.

Despite her illness, Patti continued to radiate love and kindness and to always think of others before herself. Patti loved deeply and unconditionally, truly reflecting the love of her Savior, whom she served well throughout her lifetime. Her relationship with Jesus was central to who she was and how she treated everyone in her life, setting a beautiful example for her family and anyone blessed to have met and known her. Faith was the foundation that gave Patti strength and comfort through every season of her life. Patti treasured her family above all else and always made family time so special. She was known for her unshakeable faith, generous heart, incredible kindness, unwavering strength; a beautiful woman inside and out! She was an incredible cook and baker, writer and poet, public speaker and preacher, and was talented in painting as well as any other craft she put her hand to. Patti exuded joy! She loved to have adventures and enjoyed playing pranks. Patti's favorite thing to do was anything she was doing with her family- who is so blessed to have created so many incredible memories with her. Patti also loved to garden, bake, play games and do crafts with her granddaughter, Maisie. Their sleepovers were one of her favorite ways to spend her time.

Patti is survived by Daughter and Son-in-law Shawna and Daniel Feliciano; Son and Daughter-in-law Matthew and Amy Montag, and beloved Granddaughter Maisie Montag. Patti is also survived by husband Tom Hook of Grand Rapids MI; her father, Glenn Potter Jr of Sligo PA; two sisters, Carol Hawk of Sligo PA and Sandy Potter of Rimersburg PA; aunt, Rose (Guy) Magness of New Bethlehem PA, and cousins, nieces and nephews she held close to her heart.
