Patricia (Patti) Ann McCauley, 59, of Saint Petersburg, PA passed peacefully on January 11th, 2026. She was born on August 25th, 1966, in Welland, Ontario, Canada to Margaret M. Scharf and John Habjan. Patti was raised in Westfield, NY and graduated from college at Clarion University of Pennsylvania in Clarion, PA.

In addition to her parents, Patti is survived by her children Zachary McCauley (Valerie Balog) of Camden, AR and Alicia McCauley (Ethan Dials) of West Liberty, KY; her step-children David (Barbara) McCauley Jr. of Pleasantville, PA, Benjamin (Julie) McCauley of Oran, MO, Stacey (Paul) McCauley of Pennsylvania, and Megan (Tim) Holley of Pennsylvania; brother, Johnny Habjan of West Virginia; step-sister, Staci Martinetti of Marienville, PA; step-brother, Richard Scharf Jr. of Littleton, CO; sisters, Terri "Superfoo" Emery of Wilmington, NC and Pauline (Andy) Griebel of Clarion, PA; step-sister, Lisa (Jim) Moch of Fredonia, NY; 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and 1 great-granddaughter; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and family members.

Patti is preceded in death by her step-father, Richard (Dick) Scharf Sr. of Westfield, NY and her grandparents.

In her spare time Patti enjoyed gardening, talking and spending time with family and friends, and--as always--being the "life of the party". She loved to travel as noted by her adventurous spirit when she worked at the Baldpate Inn in Estes Park, CO in 1985 with her sister Terri. Patti worked multiple jobs after her summer at the Baldpate Inn including work at the Pines Inn in Saint Petersburg, PA and, most notably, as Financial Director at Independent Living Services (ILS) in Conway, AR for a number of years. She was very proud of her work and those she worked with at ILS and, even speaking with her years and years later, would let everyone know about their cause and work ethic.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her very special friends; Annette Gibson, Mary Lou Elder, Linda Austin, Mary Beth Conner, Wendy Stewart, JR Bartley, Jackie Fliss, Bob Bruno, Jim Butler, and Brianna Kiehl.

We are blessed to know she is now with her best friend that preceded her in death, Allison Beary. She believed fully that Allison would send her "pennies from Heaven"; and we will forever look for two pennies now -- one from Allison and one from Patti.

Patti was a remarkable woman and special to so many. She cared so much for her family and friends, and was always willing to lend a helping hand if able to do so. We will miss her contagious smile and laughter every day.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16th at 10am at Goble Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 11am. We invite everyone to wear Patti's favorite color, purple, on Friday. At a later point in time, Zachary and Alicia will reach out with details about a "Celebration of Life" over social media so all can have the chance to join in for one last celebration for a woman that truly was always the life of the party. Following the service, family and friends are invited to join together at Red River Roadhouse.
