MARIAN E. PELTCS OBITUARY

Marian Elizabeth Peltcs, 90, of Clarion, passed away on Saturday,

October 18, 2025, at home with her husband and children.

She was born on July 25, 1935, near Newark Delaware and was the daughter of Elmer Smith and Margaret (Smith) Davis.

After graduating High School, Marian worked for Hercules as an Executive Secretary in Wilmington, DE. During this time she met her future husband and love of her life at a YMCA dance. She married Raymond A. Peltcs on August 17, 1957, and they spent 68 wonderful years together. Ray is often heard saying that there is no better wife and mother than Marian. A move brought her to Durham, NC, where she worked as secretary for the Vice President of Research Triangle Institute as the 8th employee hired out of now thousands.

Marian is known by her family as having a quiet strength and doing all things well.

From her delicious meals to hosting the "best" birthday parties, she made home a wonderful loving place. She was an excellent seamstress and in her younger years sewed wedding gowns and Bridesmaid dresses for two of her friends. She and Ray enjoyed traveling that included jet setting around the world and many cruises with family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Marian was a member of the Trinity Point Church of God and was water baptized there. Over the years she stayed very active in the community through Welcome Wagon and Civic Club with an extra focus making sure the Santa Christmas store offered local children a fun shopping experience. In addition, she was active in her children's lives as a Cub Scout, Brownie and Girl Scout leader and had involvement with the 4-H sewing club.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Davis. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Peltcs; her son, Russell (Rusty) Peltcs of Orlando, FL; her daughters, Linda Traub of Clarion and Karen Zelina (John) of Macedonia, OH; grandchildren, Tayler Oakes, Adam Zelina (Ciara), Kyle Zelina (Adreanna), Ashley Zelina, and Hannah Zelina; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Koltyn, and Aubreigh; sister-in-law, Pat Davis; and nieces Debbie Rusch and Sally Fellmy; and nephews, Tom Matson and Steve Fellmy.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22 at the Trinity Point Church of God, 180 W. Trinity Dr. Clarion, PA , and 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. with the funeral following at 11:00 on Thursday, October 23. A luncheon will be served at the church following the service.

Interment will be held in the Clarion Cemetery.
