Margaret J. "June" Peppler, 87, of Rollercoaster Road, Corsica, passed away on May 3, 2018 at McKinley Health Center at Laurel Brooke Landing in Brookville.
Born on June 9, 1930 in Turtle Creek, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Margaret (Goss) Berry. In 1957, she married James T. Peppler, who survives.
June was primarily a homemaker, but also worked for veterinarians on occasion. She adored animals, especially her dogs, cats and birds. She raised all kinds of birds, from the smallest finches to large cockatoos and parrots. She was a bird rehabilitator and cared for many throughout the years, including barred owls and other raptors. June also operated a bird retail store in her home. June enjoyed training horses, as well.
June is survived by her husband, James; her children, son James T. Peppler, Jr., of Saltsburg; and daughter Judy Sanabria, of Corsica. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Bruce Peppler, Becky Secrest, James Thomas Peppler, III, Christopher Ardle, Melissa Sanabria, Michael Sanabria, and Rikki Smith; and one great-grandson, Joey Mucka.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion. As per June's expressed wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
