Mae E. Bailey, 92, formerly of Strattanville, passed away at the Sugarcreek Rest Home in Worthington, Armstrong County, on May 7, 2016. Born on May 3, 1924 in Clarion, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Blanche (Slee) Cramer. She was married to William Otis Bailey who preceded her in death in 1995. Mae was a nurse who retired from the Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh and had also worked at the Owens-Illinois glass plant in Clarion. She was also a homemaker. Mae attended the Strattanville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and working in her yard. She looked forward to going on her vacations with her sisters and would reminisce about the trips she took. She was a crafter and would look for treasures at yard sales and flea markets. Mae is survived by her son, Tim Reedy and his fianc, Sharon Sarvey, of Butler; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Florence) Aaron, of Limestone, Mrs. Noble (Catherine) Gross, of Rimersburg, and Mrs. Dean (Shirley) Graham, of Clarion. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, and a step-son, Leroy Bailey, of Asheville, NC. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death her brother, George Cramer; three sisters, Leona Howington, Mary Bish, and Luella Cramer (as an infant); an infant daughter; two infant grandsons; and a step-daughter, Frances English. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where the family will receive visitor from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday with Rev. Nancy Zahn, pastor of the Strattanville United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park.
