Keith Jon Rice, age 48, of Clarion, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes in Maryland on October 13, 2015. Born on September 8, 1967 in West Virginia, he was the only son of Keith A Rice, who has preceded him in death, and Vesta (Lonberger) Alisesky, of South Park, PA, who survives. After graduating from Bethel Park High School, Keith graduated with a bachelor's degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. He also served his country for six years as a member of the United States Navy. He was employed by a contractor as a systems administrator at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. Keith was a member of The Sons of Israel Congregation in DuBois, PA, and Temple Solel in Bowie, MD. Keith is survived by his wife, Joanna (Schmader) Rice, of Clarion; his two daughters, Audrey Rice, of Millersville, MD, and Dana Rice of Clarion; his aunt, Jane Robinson, of Jacksonville, FL; his two cousins, Michael LaCross and Scott LaCross, both of Jacksonville, FL; and his step-mother, Patty Rice, of Cadiz, OH. In addition to his father, Keith was preceded in death by his grandmother, Louise Lonberger; and his step-father, John Alisesky. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross (www.redcross.org). Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where friends and family will be received from 10 - 11 a.m. on Monday. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Monty Sayers of Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion, and Laurel and Greg Suslow congregants from the Sons of Israel officiating.
