Kathryn Marie Eshbaugh, age 77, of Maple Drive, Shippenville, PA joined the heavenly choir on May 2, 2019, at the Clarion Hospital.
Born on October 9, 1941, in Piney Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Miles Krauss and Dorothy P. Porter - Krauss.
After graduating from Union High School, she received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Butler School of Nursing at Slippery Rock University and her Bachelors Degree and School Nurse Certification from St. Joseph's College in Maine. She worked as a surgical nurse in Springfield, Mass., a registered nurse for Dr. Varner, Clarion Hospital, Dr. Corbett, Clairview Nursing Home and the Keystone High School.
On November 17, 1962, she married Arthur L. Eshbaugh. They enjoyed 56 plus years of married life.
Marie was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Shippenville. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church choir, Alter Guild, the chair of the Stuffed Animal Ministry, Lady Priscilla-Rebekah Lodge #305 for 50 years, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #66, Clarion Forest VNA Board Member, Second Harvest Food Distribution, and a Charitable Deeds Volunteer.
She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, knitting, quilting, bird watching, was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan, cross country motorcycle trips, reading, playing Words with Friends, spending time with her grandchildren, children, and husband.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur, three daughters; Susan A. (Howie) Schmader of Clarion, Patricia L. (Kenna) Rowe of Shippenville, and Debra R. (Randy) Irwin of Grove City, PA. She is also survived by her brother, Leonard (Shirley) Krauss of Florida and her sister Shirley M. (Elwood) Neiswonger of New Bethlehem, PA and her grandchildren, Jacob T. King of Shippenville and Catherine Jade "CJ" Irwin of Grove City, PA. Also surviving are her sister-in-law Patricia Krauss of Sligo, PA and sister-in-law Eleanor (Tommie) Pruitt and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her brother, Carl Krauss and her grandson Mason L. Burns.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Clarion-Forest VNA or the Edenburg Masonic Lodge #550 of Knox, PA, c/o Mason L. Burns scholarship fund.
The family will receive family and friends at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Shippenville, PA from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to a memorial service on May 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM officiated by Fr. Mark Elliston and Pastor Karen Parsh.
