Karen L. Smith, formerly of Corsica and Brookville, passed on into her Heavenly Father's arms on July 5, 2018 at Snyder Memorial Healthcare Center in Marienville where she had been residing. Karen was 78 years old. Born on December 20, 1939 in Sutton, (Limestone Township, Clarion County), she was the daughter of the late Vernon E. and Kathryn (Dinger) Smith. She lived her entire life in this area, working as a homemaker and taking care of those around her. She was a member of the Corsica Volunteer Fireman's Auxiliary. Karen was of the protestant faith and attended the Roseville Chapel Church. She also attended and enjoyed the services at the Gospel Center in Reynoldsville. She is survived by her cousins, Glenn and Bernice Smith, of Strattanville and Bill and Margie Renninger, also of Strattanville; along with an extended family and many other friends who cared for her. She was preceded in death by her parents. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, July 9. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville.
