Kai was a dog whose existence cannot even be conveyed through words. He was the most beautiful long haired German Shepherd who stole the heart of everyone who met him. Kai loved sitting outside and chewing his sticks. He would pick his head up, close his eyes, and put his nose towards the sky to feel the breeze and sniff all the good things in the air. If it got too windy, began to storm, or he heard fireworks; Kai would hide in the bathtub and seek the comfort of whoever was closest. If you started a sentence with, “Do you (…)”, his head would tilt as he stared at you intently, waiting to see what you’d say next. Kai loved car rides, ice cream, walks, the massage gun on his back, playing with his best friend Mossy and being brushed. Most of all, Kai loved his humans. Upon picking him out at just four weeks old, he licked my nose and we chose each other that day. Since he was eight weeks old, we haven’t been apart. Kai is my soul dog and will forever be the best part of me. He loved us for all of his life and we will miss him for the rest of ours.
