Obituary

Judy Wingard, 84, of Shippenville, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

Born on January 15, 1940, in Brookville, PA, Judy was the daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn (Vandervort) Wilson. On November 24, 1984, she married the late John D. Wingard Sr., with whom she shared many joyous years.

Judy was a devoted and long-time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in numerous callings with enthusiasm and love. She was also a dedicated volunteer at the Knox Caring Cupboard in Knox, PA, where her compassionate spirit touched many lives. Judy had a passion for crafting and a cherished collection of snowmen that brought her much joy.

Judy is survived by her brother, Jeffery (Debbie) Wilson of Missouri; three children, Brenda (John) Bates of Waynesville, MO, Thomas (Missi) Bish of Callensburg, PA, and Patrick (Shawna) Bish of Danville, KY; and four stepchildren, John D. (Anita) Wingard Jr. of Sebastopol, CA, Deborah (Keith) Decker of Knox, PA, Cynthia Cass of Burke, VA, and Ruth (Brenard) Griebel of Shippenville, PA.

Her legacy lives on through her beloved grandchildren: Heath Bates, Brendan Bates, Amanda Bish, Kyle Bish, Tahara Bish, Ariel Wenner, Shayleene Hagan, Cheyenne Hetrick, and Storm Scott; step-grandchildren, Timothy "Chip" Wingard and Tammy Scotty; her numerous great-grandchildren; and her extended stepfamily, all of whom she adored.

Judy will be remembered for her spirited personality, unwavering faith, and the laughter she brought to those around her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street, Clarion, where a funeral service will immediately follow. Interment will take place at Perry Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Judy's memory to a charity of your choice.
