John Philip Metzger, age 72, formerly of Sharpsville and Shippenville, passed away on July 19, 2019 at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center where he was a resident. Born on June 30, 1947 in Sharpsville, he was the son of the late John Philip and Caroline (Basher) Metzger. He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Probst, of Brook Park, OH; and a sister, Caroline Metzger, of Sharpsville. At John's request, there will be no public visitation and services will be held privately at the discretion of his family.
