Jeanne P. Troutman, of Gourley Road, Sligo, passed away on January 23, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Clarion. She was 89 years of age.
Born on November 13, 1926 in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Lola Duel Pyle. Before retiring, she worked in the food service department at Jefferson Manor in Brookville as a cook. Jeanne is remembered for being a great cook and baker. She also enjoyed reading and the company of her animals, particularly her two dogs, Beau and Willie. She cherished spending time with her sisters, family and watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing.
Jeanne is survived by her daughters, Michelle Deitz, and her husband Jeff, of Sligo, Jo Roxanne Uplinger, of Brookville, and Rochelle Vergalito, of Massachusetts, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Vida Murry of Rockland.
In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by a son, Leslie A. Makoby, a grandson, Larry Makoby, a brother, Jay Pyle, and a sister, Margaret Strandford.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 30. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Stephanie Weaver officiating. Interment will be in the Rockland Cemetery.
