Obituary

Ilene Susanna Orr Aaron, 90, of Strattanville, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 7, 2026, following a brief period of declining health.

She was born in Clarion County on May 9, 1936, the eldest daughter of the late Charles and Twila Schrecengost Orr.

She married Bernard L. Aaron on December 31, 1959, and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2004.

Ilene loved animals and was never without a cherished pet. She was an avid gardener and baker, and she was always eager to share her produce and baked goods with others. She loved her family deeply, and she will be sorely missed by them.

Ilene is survived by her daughter Patricia and son-in-law Brenton Henry of New Bethlehem; her granddaughter Belle Henry-Kanarek and husband Jack Kanarek of Ann Arbor, Michigan; her grandson Dillon and wife Carlie Henry of Smithton; her granddaughter Zoe and husband Alex Greissinger of New Brighton; and her great-granddaughter Vera Kanarek. She is also survived by her sisters Bonnie Curll of Brookville and Roxanna Chillcott of Dayton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Donald "Don," William "Bill," Dale, Richard "Dick," Thomas, Harry (Zep), and Randy Orr; sisters Linda Clinger and Peggy Orr; and her nephew Brian Curll.

Funeral services will be held at Zion Baptist Church in Clarion at 11:00 a.m. on September 19th.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory: 330 Wood St. Clarion.
