Obituary

Harry Leroy Lutz, 81, of Strattanville, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Clarion Hospital following a period of declining health. Born on March 11, 1937 in Strattanville, he was the son of the late James J. and Alice (Carson) Lutz. While he never married, he had a large extended family of many nieces and nephews that he cared for like his own. After leaving school, he worked from a young age in the coal mines. He also worked as a logger in the timber industry. Harry worked for the Clarion Area Agency on Aging cleaning the offices for several years. He was of the Catholic faith and attended Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion. Harry loved gardening. He planted vegetables and flowers and tended to his "poseys" with pride. Harry was also a tinker and junker. He would find things to take apart and put back together, including his I.V. pump at the hospital. Harry is survived by his sister, Ruby Paruch, of Nova Scotia; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Suzie. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Dorothy Lutz, Pearl Lutz, Lacetta Reddinger, Helen Ion, Marie Miller, Betty Hetrick, Clara Martz, and Arthur Lutz; along with several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 on Saturday. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Corsica.
