Obituary

Floyd C. "Jim" Frazier, Sr., of Strattanville, passed away on March 6, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Clarion. He was 94 years of age. Born on April 6, 1921, in Mayburg, Forest County, he was the son of the late Frank and Ruth Frazier. He was married to the former Ethel Marie Emert who preceded him in death in 1980. Jim worked his entire life in the coal mining industry as a drag line and heavy equipment operator and a plant supervisor. After he retired, he enjoyed plowing with his tractor and gardening or tinkering around in his garage. Jim is survived by his children, sons Floyd C. "Butch" Frazier, Jr., and his wife Marilyn, of Strattanville, and Robert Frazier, and his wife Karen, of Clarion, and daughter Nancy Leadbetter, and her husband William, of Mesa AZ; his eight grandchildren, Bradley Frazier, James Frazier, Jennifer Kaye, John Frazier, Scot Frazier, Jon Rochelle Frazier, Bobbi Reginato, and Fred Leadbetter, three step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 6 step-great-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his brothers Frank Frazier of Tylersburg, and Gary Frazier, and his wife Lois, of Endeavor, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and five sisters, Phyllis, Pauline, Norma Ann, Dorothy, and Kate. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street, Clarion where visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Tylersburg Cemetery.
