Faye L. LaVan, 82, of Tionesta, was welcomed into Heaven on Sunday, August 16, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Faye was born April 7, 1944, to the late Clarence and Myrna (Minnich) Brocious.

Faye was a 1962 graduate of Clarion Limestone High School.

Faye enjoyed spending time with family, was a competitive card player, and just enjoyed working around the house. She was one of the best cooks in the county, and you never left the house hungry. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She enjoyed watching wildlife from her back porch. She also loved visits from friends and cats.

Faye was married to Larry M LaVan who survives, they were married on Sept. 20, 1965, they were married for 60 years. She is also survives by her children: Larry and Kathy LaVan, Tim and Jane LaVan, Mike LaVan, and Luke and Susan LaVan. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and one brother, Ernie Brocious.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Paul Brocious, Nelson Brocious, and Elvin Brocious; two sisters, Maxine Hawk and Emogene Lewis.

Faye was a great housekeeper, keeping 4 boys in line. She worked in housekeeping at the Snyder Memorial Home for 22 years and also worked at GC Murphy in Clarion while in high school.

Visitation of friends and family will be on August 20, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:45 AM, immediately followed by the funeral at the Brookville Church of Christ, 20 Hughey RD, Brookville, PA 15825.  A luncheon will take place after the service.
