Ernest A. Hitchcock, 93, of Strattanville, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2023 at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Yakima, WA on April 13, 1930 to the late Richard and Martha (Ruhnau) Hitchcock.

Ernest is survived by his children: David L. Hitchcock of Dunlap, TN, Dale L. Hitchcock of Rio Rancho, NM, and Patricia Heberling of Erie. He is also survived by his sister, Katherine Swor of Riverside, CA. In addition, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Ruth Hitchcock, second wife, Genevieve Hitchcock, son, Ernest Hitchcock Jr., and an infant great-grandson, Griffin L. Anderson.

As per family wishes there will be no visitation and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory in Clarion.
