Obituary

Elizabeth Chase "Beth" Eichlin, of Clarion and New Hope, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015. She was the beloved daughter of John and Elizabeth (Morse) Chase, having been born in Trenton, New Jersey. Her grand-parents were Lewis and Moreen Chase and Walter and Elizabeth Morse of Trenton and Lawrenceville, New Jersey, respectively. As a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, (D.A.R.), she was proud of her families' ancestry, tracing their roots back many generations. Beth and her family lived in Yardley, Pennsylvania where she graduated from Pennsbury High School. Subsequently, her family moved to East Aurora, New York. Beth attended what was then Clarion State College, now Clarion University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor's of Science degree, as well as Master's degrees in Biology and Special Education. She received several awards for her academic achievements. Beth was married to John Eichlin and together they have a very special daughter, Elisabeth "Elise" Eichlin. After graduating, her employment included many positions in fields relating to her degrees. Those positions included the following: Adjunct Professor at Clarion University of Pennsylvania; Emotional Support Coordinator at Jeff Tech; Case-worker at Frontiers in Human Services; Teacher at I.U. 6 and Abraxas; and Director of First and Second Step Preschool at several locations. Beth's keen intellect, as well as her depth and breadth of knowledge will be long remembered, along with her kind and gentle disposition. Her love of all animals, especially dogs, was unsurpassed. She lovingly cared for her own pets and for many years volunteered for Clarion P.U.P.S. and the Bucks County S.P.C.A. Beth most enjoyed her time spent each summer with family and friends in New Hope and Fenwick Island, Delaware. A most recent special moment for Beth was when Elise gave a voice recital and dedicated a song, "Momma a Rainbow" to her. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Clarion, Pennsylvania. In addition to her husband and daughter, Beth is survived by her father, John Chase and his wife Elaine of Orchard Park, New York. She is also survived by her brothers and their spouses: John (Scott) and Kirsten Chase and Timothy and Debra Chase, all of East Aurora, New York; as well as several nieces and nephews. Beth also leaves behind a special friend, Ann Fagley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Beth's name to Grace Lutheran Church, 421 Madison Street, Clarion PA 16214 (www.growingingraceclarion.com). Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion.
