Dorismae L. Snyder, age 86, of South Street, Clarion died September 27, 2016 at the Clarion Hospital. Born in Clarion on October 30, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Dora (Smith) Johnson. Mrs. Snyder was married to Dean A. Snyder on April 28, 1951 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2007. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1947, joined the First Presbyterian Church in 1948, and worked at Means and Lauf Drug Store from 1945 to 1950. She and her husband owned and operated the Clarion Cab service from 1951 to 1955. The most important things in her life were the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her cat, Caesar. She had a great sense of humor and possessed a remarkable recall of events and the people in Clarion. She enjoyed emailing her friends and family, and could complete a mean crossword puzzle. She is survived by one son, Larry A. Snyder and his wife Ruth of Clarion; two daughters, Vickie Duncan and her husband Chris of Clarion and Trudy Alexander and her partner Kurt Stuchell of Clarion; eight grandchildren, Lucas and his wife Amy, Benjamin, Jacob and wife Amanda, and Lauren Snyder, Erin and Zack Heck, Ian Alexander and his wife Victoria Pihl-Sorenson and Zoe Alexander and her partner Jason Maccaroni; four great-grandchildren, James, Gabriel, Olivia and Evelyn Snyder. In addition, she is survived by one sister, Marlene Wayland and her husband Fordyce, along with numerous nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant brother, Cleland Johnson and a son-in-law, James Alexander. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street, Clarion, where visitation will be held on Sunday from 7-9 and on Monday from 10:00 till service time at 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. James Dietrich, pastor of New Rehoboth-Greenville Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in the Clarion Cemetery.
