Doris S. McKissick, of Clarion, passed away on December 22, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Clarion. She was 93 years of age and was anticipating her 94th birthday early next year.
Born on January 13, 1922, in Fairview Township, Butler County, she was the only child of the late William and Olga (Minteer) Snyder. In 1940, she graduated from Fairview Township / Karns City High School, and then in 1942 graduated from Butler Business College. Doris was married to William A. McKissick on November 15, 1943 in Nashville, TN. They were married for 66 years before he preceded her in death in 2010. She was a homemaker for most of her life.
Doris was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clarion, the Clarion Women's Club, the United Methodist Women, the United Methodist Chancel Choir, the Clarion Community Choir, the Clarion County Garden Club, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and the Clarion Hospital Volunteers.
She is survived by her son, Ronald McKissick and his wife, Barbara, of Butler; her daughter, Mary Brooks, of Clarion; her four grandchildren, Douglas (Lori) McKissick of Monaca, Aaron (Kelli) McKissick of Glenshaw, Ian McKissick of Butler, and Taylor McKissick of Mesa AZ. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren, Paige, Carter, Collin, Lydia, and Molly McKissick.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Renal Center of Clarion for all of the care they have shown over the past eight years.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street, Clarion where visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 27. An additional visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the Gathering Area of the First United Methodist Church, 600 Wood Street, Clarion, on Monday, December 28. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kevin R. Haley, officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shippenville.
