Doris Mae Confer, age 71, of Clarion, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2014 at the Clarion Hospital. Born on June 25, 1943 in Clarion, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Eleanor (Bickel) Kahle. She graduated from Clarion-Limestone High School in 1963.
Doris worked for Owen-Illinois in Clarion for many years and eventually became the head of the quality and specifications department. She was pleased to be working with the Family History Department of the Knox Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Elva Marie Confer of Clarion; her three grandchildren, Angel Warner, Braiden Warner, and Robert Daymian Elder; her brother, Donald Kahle; and her sister, Ruth Ann Kahle.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nova Mae Elder.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street, in Clarion where visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30 from 10 - 11 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with President Fischer of Knox Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints presiding. Interment will be in the Strattanville Cemetery.
