Diana Lee (Mayo) McAninch, beloved wife, mother and grandmother died Friday, April 3, 2026 in Clarion PA.

She was born on April 23, 1951 in Brookville PA, the daughter of Lee W. and Dorothy Irene (Himes) Mayo of Corsica PA. She lived most of her life in Summerville, PA.

She was a clerk typist at the Pennsylvania Department of Health until her retirement. She filled her life with a variety of hobbies: growing African violets & coleus, sewing & quilting and other fiber arts, and collecting & reading tarot cards. She always had pets in her life, from her toy poodles when younger, to housecats in her later years. She was an avid appreciator of music and amassed a collection of music of all genres.

She was married, for over 40 years, to Jon E. McAninch who preceded her in death. She is survived by two children: Brett McAninch, M.D. of Pittsburgh, PA and Ian McAninch, Ph.D. of Aberdeen, MD as well as three grandchildren.

As per family wishes there will be no visitation and services will be private.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St, Clarion.
