David L. Niederriter, 62, of Marble, passed away on April 11, 2016 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
David was born on May 21, 1953 in Oil City, PA, the son of the late Paul and Grace (Beichner) Niederriter. David attended Venango Catholic High School. He was a self-employed logger and partner in S&N Logging with over 40 years of experience working in the timber industry. He enjoyed reading anything about history, sports (especially golf), his many gardens, working outside, and his fruit tree orchard. He married the former Julie VanAlstine on October 26, 1991, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his brother, Don Niederriter, and wife Ruthie, of Shippenville; his sisters Betty Tigani, and husband Pat, of Kane, Margaret Stahlman of Palm Harbor, FL, and Vicki Host, and her husband Dana, of Tionesta. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barb, and her husband Art Bedow.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with Rev. Jake Jacobson, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church of Clarion, officiating.
