Charles William Sliker, of Clarion, passed away on April 2, 2015 at the Clarion Hospital. He was 55 years of age.
Born on October 23, 1959, in Clarion, he was the son of the late Karl B. and Martha Louise (Marshall) Sliker. After graduating from North Clarion High School, he served in the United States Navy. He was self-employed and operated his own motor vehicle escort company.
Charles was a member of the Eagles and enjoyed hunting and playing Skip-Bo and horseshoes.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry, of Clarion, a daughter, Charlene Sliker of Union City, PA; his two step-daughters, Vanessa Larson and Katrina Buzza; and two step-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael L. Sliker and his wife Linda of Leeper, and Carl H. Sliker and his wife Julie of Knox; his two sisters, Susan L. Sliker and Bessie J. Jones, both of Kane; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Nathan Sliker.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street, Clarion where visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015. Military honors will be accorded by the Honor Guard of American Legion Post 66 in Clarion at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the funeral home, to be followed by funeral services with Pastor Denny Fraketich of Alpha Assembly of God in Clarion presiding.
