Obituary

Charles Robert "Bob" Seelbach, age 84, of Clarion, passed away on August 23, 2016, at Butler Memorial Hospital. Born on June 21, 1932 in South Bethlehem, Armstrong County, he was the son of the late Roy and Letha (Doverspike) Seelbach. He graduated from New Bethlehem / Redbank Valley High School, and then served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War as a machinist mate. He was a member of the American Legion Post 66 in Clarion, and the Veterans of Foreign War. Bob was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. On March 15, 1957, he married the former Janet McCollough at the First United Methodist Church in Clarion. She survives. He worked as a truck driver for R&H Trucking Company and then Schneider Trucking, retiring in December, 1995. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Robert Seelbach and wife Robin, of North Glenn, CO, Raelene Godinez and husband Temo, of Raleigh, NC, Charles Seelbach and wife Alyson, of Chapel Hill, NC, Charlene Prody and husband Herb, of Corry, PA, and Christine Texter and husband Tim, of Shippenville; 13 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy Seelbach. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choosing. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the Hillview Cemetery, Kepples Corners, Butler County.
