Obituary

Carol Sue Johnson (Yates), age 64 of Littlestown, PA, formally of Clarion, PA, entered eternal rest on Friday, April 17th, 2015. She was the loving wife to Robert Bob Johnson for 35 years. Carol was born to Marion Jack Yates and Shirley Barnes (Brocious) on October 6th, 1950. She owned and operated a small bridal and flower store for more than 20 years helping brides make their wedding day special, beautiful, and affordable. Anyone that met Carol knew that she was a fun and happy person. Her laughter and smiling eyes always lit up a room. Carol was a protector and sweet kind angel that walked among us. She is now our guardian angel watching and keeping us safe. She loved her children and grandson and had a great outlook on life. And she doted on her two loyal and steadfast dog companions, Winston and Bailey, that stayed by her side. Precious memories will be treasured by her husband, Robert Bob Johnson, children Jack McCullough and Ellen Holt of Lake Lucy, Jill (McCullough) Carroll and husband Chuck Carroll of Pensacola, FL, Kristin Johnson Carr of Littlestown, PA, and grandson Steven Bishop and wife, Anna Busch of Pittsburgh, PA and anyone else that Carols kindness touched. Carol was preceded in death by her father Marion Jack Yates, son James McCullough, and step-father, Frank Barnes. In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Carols name may be directed to the Gettysburg Hospital Foundation, Cancer Patient Help Fund, 455 South Washington Street, Suite 11, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion. There will be no public visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
