Betty J. Klingler, of Clarion, passed away on April 9, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Clarion at the age of 92.
Betty was born on May 18, 1923, in Timlin, the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Brocious Martz. She was married to Thomas McCleary who preceded her in death, and then to Fred L. Klingler, who also preceded in death.
In 1960, Betty graduated from beauty school and worked for Lee Walker until Lee retired and then Betty bought the business. She closed that shop and opened LaSherial with her brother, operating it for many years on 5th Avenue in Clarion, moving her business to her home until her retirement due to her declining health.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion, the Order of the Easter Star, Chapter #267. Betty enjoyed her morning breakfast group at the County Seat and the company of all her good friends. She was a strong and courageous woman and was a devoted mother and grandmother and had a great love for her family.
She is survived by her sons, Fred Klingler and his wife, Susan, of Clarion, Michael Klingler and his wife Paula, of Oil City, and her grandson, John Klingler and his companion Kris Bowser, and her daughter Brooke, of Shippenville. Betty is also survived by her brother Harry E. Martz, Jr. and his wife Pattie of Shippenville, a brother-in-law, Joseph Klingler of Greenville, sisters-in-law, Hannah Klingler of Oklahoma, Doris Klingler of Fairmount City, Mary Martz of Clarion, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Betty was preceded in death by her infant daughter Judy McCleary, her brothers, John and Wayne Martz, and her sisters, Jean Dittman and Mary Sherman.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Golden Living Clarion for their many years of care for Betty.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion, where family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion with Rev. Jake Jacobson officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Knox.
