Bessie Marie Delo, 79, of Clarion, died on March 18, 2018 at Clarion Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on June 20, 1938, the daughter of the late Richard E. and Dollie Mae (Pascorell) Delo. Bessie loved crafts, especially making lamps out of popsicle sticks. She loved animals and spending time with children.
Bessie is survived by her brother Robert L. Delo and wife Ruth; sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Burris and Mary Viola Larimore and husband Charles. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, especially Dolly Mae McClure and Christine Marie Adams who visited her often and took her on outings; and special cousin Betty Louise Allmendinger. In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy Delo of Kennerdell; and nephews Brian Delo, Greg Delo and wife, Dawn, and their family; and niece Brenda Ochs and husband Andy, and their family.
Bessie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Charles Delo (killed in action during WWII), Richard E. Delo and wife Elizabeth "Betty" (Heil) Delo, Paul Russel Delo, and Donald Peter Delo (a victim of agent orange); a sister, Patricia Jean McClure and husband Jay McClure.
As per her wishes there will be no visitation or services at this time. A celebration of Bessie's life will be held on July 22nd at the Clarion County Park, pavilion 8, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion.
