Barbara F. Ragley of Clarion passed away on October 9, 2016 at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was 76 years of age.
Born on August 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Grant "Butch" Smith and Ursula (Blissell) McLaughlin.
In 1958, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion, she married David C. Ragley, co-owner and operator of Ragley's Bowl Arena, who preceded her in death in 2011 after 53 years of marriage.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed gambling, going to Sara's campground in Erie, wintering in Fort Myers, Florida and having the greatest tan.
She is survived by her children, Diana (Joe) Troyan of Ford City, Linda (Dave) Walters of Clarion, Sandy (Tom Wood) Ragley of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Carla Smith of Zelienople, and Sam (Angel) Ragley of Rimersburg; her grandchildren, Joe (Sarah) Troyan, Mark (Rachel) Troyan, Alisha (Craig) Hibell, Corbin Ragley, Dan Walters, Desiree Whitmer, Paige Whitmer, and Donte Whitmer, her great-grandchildren, Amelia and Adele Troyan, and Brynley and Brentley Forsythe.
She is also survived by her sister, Carol (Clarence) Beyerl, her brother, Michael Smith, and her sister-in-law, Gayle Smith, all of Florida.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Ragley was preceded in death by twin grandchildren, Steven and Kelly Troyan, and her brother, Don Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to the Resident Activities Fund, Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation, 14663 Route 68, Sligo PA 16255.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Main Street, Clarion, with Father Monty Sayers officiating. Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Clarion.
