Arthur Glenn Rupert, age 74, of Strattanville, died on November 21, 2015. He was born on June 21, 1941, the son of Arthur R. and Zora (Chapman) Rupert, who preceded him in death, along with an infant sister and his daughter, Brenda Rupert Werner. On August 22, 1959, he married the former Polly S. Guiher, who survives. As a young man, he worked at his family's business, Strattanville Auto Wreckers. He worked most of his life in the coal industry, retiring from Colt Resources. He enjoyed gardening and his dog, Winston. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Vicki Johnson and husband Dick, of Fisher, Scott Rupert, of Strattanville, and Rusty Rupert, of Pinellas Park, FL, and his son-in-law, Charles Werner; his grandchildren, Lacy and Dennis Sankey, of New Bethlehem, Raleigh Johnson, of Pittsburgh, Jesse Werner, of Strattanville, and Zoey Rupert, of Limestone; and his great-grand-daughter, Peyton Mercer, of Limestone. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with two brothers, Randy Rupert and his wife Charletta, Gary Rupert and his wife Sherry and a special brother in law, Bill Wyman and his wife Jeanne of Rotonda West, FL. At his request, there will be no visitation or public services. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion.
