Anna 'Marie' Mauersberg, age 87, of Clarion, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 26, 2026.

She was born on August 31, 1938, on the family farm in Lucinda, Pennsylvania, where she grew up. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her husband Gerald "Jerry' T. Mauersberg, who proceeded her in death on January 7, 1995. and a devoted mother to her children Stephen (Janine), David (Beatriz), Jeanne, Andrew, and Karen (Guiseppe). She was also a very loving grandmother to her seven grandchildren and her three great grandchildren.

Marie was the daughter of Arthur and Ida (Ditz) Bauer and the sister of Elizabeth (Betty) Hepfl (deceased), Edith Reinsel, Joseph (deceased), Raymond, Bernice Reinsel, Michael, Evelyn (Cookie) Dwyer, Jane Lander (deceased), and Daniel.

Marie lived a fulfilling life as a homemaker and mother who had many talents. She had a passion for canning, cooking, and baking. She especially enjoyed quilting, knitting, and embroidering, most of which she gifted to family and friends when completed. She had a passion for teaching others these skills. All her grandchildren were given a knit 'strawberry' hat soon after being born. She also loved to travel, visiting many States and countries with her husband and children.

Marie was a kind and generous person, always putting others' needs before her own when she could. When she was able, she would drive friends or family to church and medical appointments, to pick up groceries, or just to go to lunch. At one time she led the exercise classes at the Clarion Senior Center. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile, endearing laugh, and warm personality.

There will be visitation at Goble Funeral Home in Clarion, PA on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Marie's funeral service will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Clarion, Pennsylvania, on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM with Rev. Jason Feigh presiding. Inurnment will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation in memory of Anna 'Marie' Mauersberg.
