Obituary

Aloysious Delain "Dee" Gabler, of Shippenville, passed away at his home on June 28, 2016. He was 82 years of age. Born on February 9, 1934 in Scotch Hill, Clarion County, he was the son of the late Francis X. and Catherine A. (Smith) Gabler. He served his county as a member of the United States Army as a Military Police officer stationed in Vicenza, Italy. In 2001, he married Sandra Lee Gabler who survives. They enjoyed 15 loving years together. He was a member of the American Riders Bike Club and enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and going to yard sales, and Sandy's cinnamon rolls. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Kevin Gabler and wife Christinia, of Fryburg, and Lane Gabler; four step-children, Kathy Felmlee and husband Denny, of Madison, NC, Rebecca Blake and husband Terry, of Strattanville, William Wolbert and wife Shelby, of Clarion, and Matthew Wolbert, and wife Dr. Thao, of Clarion; three grandchildren, Justin Gabler, of Pittsburgh, Kyle Gabler and wife Krystyn, of Utica, and Shawlane Heffern, of Franklin. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren, T.J. Blake and Ty Blake, William Corry and partner Leah, Cara Craig, Carter Shipley, and Curtis Shipley; two great-grandchildren, Karson Gabler and Amelia Gabler; and four step-great-grandchildren, Aubrianna Corry, Everett Craig, Avari Shipley, and Vincent Shipley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Shawna Gabler-Heffern.
