Adam Ray Lewis, 36, of State College, formally of Clarion, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Hershey Medical Center, after a courageous battle with leukemia and graft versus host disease, a complication of his stem cell transplant. He was born on February 21, 1982 to Robert J. Lewis and Linda S. Lewis, of Clarion. Adam graduated from Clarion Area High School in 2000, and Mercyhurst University with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management in 2004. After college, Adam worked at Opryland Hotel and continued his career at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. In 2017, he accepted a position at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, where he was employed as the Catering Manager until his death. Adam is survived by his parents and 3 brothers, Jason (Amanda), Nathaniel (Sheri), and his twin brother Benjamin (Charity). He adored his two nieces and nephew, Julia, Emily and Benson. He is also survived by 5 half-brothers, Steve, Tim (Cheri), Jon (Patti), Mark (Linda), and Dan (Keri). He was preceded in death by grandparents and a half-brother, Phillip. Through his journey, Adam was encouraged by his church, his family and his many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (Hope Lodge Hershey) 25 Lucy Ave. Hummelstown, PA 17036. Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Trinity Point Church of God with Pastor Tom Young officiating. Interment will be in the Reidsburg Cemetery.
