Larry Eugene "Buck" Walter, 73, of Strattanville, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at his home following an extended illness.
Buck was born on September 26, 1945 in Clarion, the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Schrecengost) Walter. In 1965, he married the former Dorothy Davis and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Jodi (Joe), of Richmond, VA; son Robert (Jennifer), of Clarion; and daughter, Kim (Jim) Dolmovich, of Sligo; grandchildren, Anna, Rebecca, Karleigh, Jarrett, and Jacalyn; step-grandsons, Jared and Mackenzie; and great-grandson, Liam.
He is also survived by his sisters, Pat (Don) Graybill, Joan Miller, Karen (Gary) Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby.
Buck was employed by the Owens-Illinois Glass Container plant in Clarion for 43 years. He enjoyed woodworking, taking time to be with his family and grandkids, and being outdoors.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the Hospice team at Clarion-Forest VNA and the Hahne Cancer Center for the outstanding care they provided.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 715 Main Street, Clarion. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Monty Sayers, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Clarion.
