Life Legacy

M. Elaine Kapp, age 88 of North Sheridan Rd, Clarion died 6/17/11 at her home. Born in Toby Twp, Clarion County on July 18, 1922 she was the daughter of Paul V. and Mary Hillis McCall who preceded her in death.
She was married to J. Paul Kapp on May 29, 1943 the the McCall homestead near Sligo.
Mrs. Kapp taught school in the Porter Twp District and a substitute teacher in the Clarion Area School district for many years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion for 55 years, active in the Woman’s Association of the Church. Enjoyed her family, friends, travel, her card clubs, solving cross word puzzles, knitting and making quilts for her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband J. Paul Kapp of Clarion, one son, John Kapp and his wife Dorine of Ashland, MA, two daughters, Mary Joyce and her husband David Anderton of Oil City, Kristin and her husband James Middleton of Stanley, NC, a brother, Frank McCall of Callensburg, five grandchildren, Jeffrey Kapp of Charlotte, NC, Kelly Kapp of Boston, MA, Eric Anderton of State College, PA, Abby Anderton of Berlin, Germany, Curtis Middleton of Stanley, NC, two great grandchildren, Beckett Kapp of Charlotte, NC and Kenna Anderton of State College, PA. She was also survived by her brother in law and sisters in law’s, Joyce and Howard Lehman of Oil City, Norine McCall of Rimersburg, Margie McCall of Callensburg and Dolores Kapp of Cheswick, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mark McCall.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4, 7-9 at the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood St, Clarion, PA. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion with Rev. Scott Hauser officiating. Interment will follow in the Clarion Cemetery.
