WINFRED MARY (FLOEY) STAAS
Winifred Mary Staas (age 85) passed away at Clarion Hospital on February 14 2010 due to complications arising from pneumonia. Winifred was born in July 25, 1924. She grew up in the Pittsburgh area and married Edward Henry Staas in February of 1944 while he was on duty with the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Their only child, Alice Marie, was born on August 8, 1945. Alice Marie died on December 2nd, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.
The couple lived in Wilkensburg, PA until Edward’s retirement when they moved to East Brady in 1986. After Edward’s passing in 2002, Winifred moved to Clarion, and resided most recently at Highland Oaks in Shippenville.
She is survived by her Sister, Mary Cyphert, of Pittsburgh.
A viewing will be held at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion Pennsylvania on Wed. 2-4. Interment will follow in the St. Eusebius Cemetery in East Brady.
