Carl James Lutz (Bud) 76, went to be in the presence of his Lord and Savior December 15th 2009 after a 12 year fight against cancer.

Born August 8, 1933 in Lucinda PA, Bud was the son of Walter and Margaret Marie (Frohnapple) Lutz. He married Thelma (Peg) Kathryn Girt on October 18, 1957, who survives.

Bud was part of Headquarter Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, 5th Heavy Tank, based in Germany during the Korean Conflict, and was proud to have served his country.

Bud was a professional truck driver, working for Krevda Brothers, and Womeldorf Trucking.

His true enjoyment and pleasures was gardening, trains, baseball, watching NASCAR and his constant canine companion Kacer.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are children Gary (Rick) and Cathy Lutz of Mayport, William (Randy) and Sharlene Lutz of Strattanville, Robin (Lutz) Wazelle of Warren, Roger and Teri Lutz of Knox, Wayne and Rhonda (Lutz) Wilson of Corsica, Russ Lutz and fiancé Patty Carlson of Putnam CT, Mark and Rose (Lutz) Shaffer of Sigel.

Bud was also survived by 17 grandchildren: Heath and Heather Copenhaver, Katrina Lutz, Daniel and Matthew Space, Sara Lutz, Brendy Smith, D.J. and Zoey Foote, Benjamin and Nicholas Lutz, Kera and Andrew Wilson, Tiffany and Jake Lutz, Jacob and Elizabeth Shaffer as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

Sisters Ester Grace Corbett of Marianne and Ruth J. Snyder of Lucinda survive as well.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers; Bernard J., Charles W. and Mark V. Lutz, three sisters Anastasia Lutz, Helen M. Lutz Magness, and Vera M. Lutz Wolbert, (Betty), and one grandson Cody A. Wilson.

Visitation will be at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory at 330 Wood Street, Clarion PA Thursday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00am.in the Funeral home. Pastor Robert Ingmire of First Baptist Church of Limestone, of which Bud was a member, will be officiating. Internment will be at the Salem Cemetery in Frogtown PA.

Full military services will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral services by the Clarion American Legion, Post 66.

To all the Lutz Family I send my sincere condolences on the loss of your Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and friend. Your Dear Bud has been called home to join our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to celebrate eternal life. It is so hard to lose a loved one but as Christians we know that we need to be strong ahd cherish the memories we have of Bud and continue to love and support each other.
