Louis J. Torta, age 76 of Paint Mills Road, Shippenville, PA. died 11/27/09 at AGH in Pittsburgh, PA. Born in Brandy Camp, PA, Elk Co on 11/29/32. Father-Angelo Torta, mother, Antonia DaCanal Torta, both preceded him in death.
He served in the PA. State Police for 30 years retiring as Sergeant. After retirement he worked for many years at J & L Sporting Goods.
He was a member of the Clarion American Legion and Fryburg Sportsman Club. Was an avid outdoors sportsman and loved reading.
Survivors, wife Georgene Graham of Shippenville, 2-children, Brian Graham of Shippenville and Jackie Graham Scheible and her husband Jack Scheible of Peoria, AZ, one brother, Joseph and his wife Joyce Torta of Erie, 2-grandchildren, Adam and Brianna Graham, 2-step grandchildren, Joshua and Caitlin Deloe. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1-brother, Ray Torta and his 1st wife.
Memorial services will be held on Wed. at 11:00 AM at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St, Clarion. Interment will be held in the Perry Chapel Cemetery.
